Setups

Car setups your community shares, by car and track, and downloading them as one pack for the game.

A community's members share their ACC car setups on bdr, each for one car on one track, with a few words on how it drives. You pick whose setups you want and download them as one zip, ready for the game.

Finding setups

  • A community's setups: open the community's page and select Setups. Members and staff see all of them. Everyone else sees the ones their uploaders made public.
  • Everyone's public setups: go to /setups. Signed in, you also see the members-only setups of your own communities there.

The grid has a row for every car and a column for every track. A box shows the setups for that car on that track that are in your pack. Select a box to see all setups for that car and track: what each is for, how it drives, who shared it, and how often it was downloaded. On a phone, pick the car and the track from the two lists instead.

Picking whose setups

Without picking anyone, your pack holds one setup per box: the most downloaded one. To pick people, select their names above the grid. The number before a name is its place in the order. Each person has a mode:

  • all: every setup of theirs goes into the pack.
  • if missing: where nobody marked all has a setup, the first person marked if missing who has one there adds theirs, in the order you picked them.

The colours show whose setup a box holds: the first person's in the community's colour, the second in orange, the third in blue. A box split in two colours has setups from two people.

To add or leave out a single setup, tick or untick it in the list below the grid. Your choice is kept for that box, its car's row, its track's column and the whole pack. Reset drops all choices made by hand.

What you picked is part of the page address, so you can send the link to share the same pack.

Downloading

  • ⬇ at the end of a row: that car on every track.
  • ⬇ under a column: that track with every car.
  • Download at the top: the whole pack.
  • ⬇ next to a setup: that one file.

A pack is a zip with ACC's own folders. Unzip it into Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Setups, and the setups show up in the game's setup list for that car and track. Each file name starts with the community's short name, such as 47R_, so you can tell them from your own setups.

Sharing your setups

Select Share setups on the community's setups page. You need to be a member of the community.

  1. Choose your setup files: one or more .json files, or a .zip of your Setups folder. Only the .json files in a zip are read, up to 1 MB of setups in all, which is some 200 of them.
  2. The car is read from each file. The track comes from the folder the file was in. For a loose file, pick the track yourself.
  3. Tick what each setup is for (race, qualifying, wet, safe), how it balances, and describe how it drives.
  4. Choose who sees them: Members of the community, or Everyone, which also shows them on /setups.

You can change who sees a setup later, or remove it. The community's owners and admins can do so too. The same file can only be shared once per community.
