For communities
Keep your community. Expand what it can do.
BDR doesn't replace your Discord, your servers or your name. It keeps your Discord busy with what happened, counts your members' racing wherever they drive, and takes the race-night work off your hands. Whether your community is five friends or five hundred.
01 The problem
Engagement is limited to your own servers.
A community lives on its people meeting: racing each other, talking about it afterwards, a rivalry that carries into next week. That is what brings someone back, and it is the hardest part to build.
The usual answer is more of your own: another server, a bot, a leaderboard. But all of it only sees what happens on your servers, locking your members in. And they don't only race there: the moment they race somewhere else, they drop out of your community's sight, and out of its conversation.
And how would one community ever run every track? For five friends who just want to race together, running servers at all is a lot to ask.
Give your members the freedom to race wherever they like, and keep the community features you want.
Why adding your own servers doesn't help

An empty server never starts a race: a third of the drivers on track sat on the 2% of servers that were racing. Servers aren't scarce. People meeting is.
02 Discord
Your Discord stays home base.
Every kind of news goes to the channel you choose: results, the week's quickest, new reports and verdicts, races called off, changes to your lobbies, and a summary of the week every Sunday.
Nobody has to post them, and the conversation stays where your people already are.

03 Leaderboards
Your own leaderboard, two ways.
Your community gets its own best times per track and car class, and you choose what it counts.
By your servers: the quickest laps on your servers, guests included, so a visitor's time is something for your members to beat, or a place for your community and your stream's viewers to find themselves in.
By your drivers: your members' best laps wherever they drove on BDR. The club's own ranking, even without a server of its own.

It counts what BDR gets the results of: races on BDR, on servers of communities that use it, and the open lobbies.
04 Wherever they race
A community, with or without servers.
Your members can race any track on any evening, in another community's event or an open lobby, and it still counts for yours*: distance, pace, rating and rivalries land on your page and in your Sunday summary.
* As long as those races report to BDR too. But the basics are covered: there is an open lobby for every track, always on. Check them out
So your community doesn't need servers to be one. Add them later, or never. You and four friends are a community.
Your branding, not ours: your logo, banner and colour on your page, your races and lobbies under your name, your Discord invite for new members. Link the page from your Discord and you need no website; already have one? It keeps getting every result.

05 Together
Communities, better together.
Today every community is an island: its own servers, its own times, its own rankings, and drivers who rarely meet the club next door.
We want BDR to be where communities meet: comparing notes, racing in each other's events, and sharing the work instead of each trying to do it all alone.
More communities on BDR means more people to race, for every one of them.
Where we're heading
-
Stats that add up Today
Laps, distance and ratings count wherever your members race, so a driver is the same driver in every community.
-
Events on one platform Today
Every community's races and lobbies in one place, open to any driver unless you keep them for members.
-
Scored together Started
Communities compared side by side on the communities page; next, series and standings that several communities run together.
-
Fewer servers, shared Next
One community runs Spa, another Monza, and everyone races on both, instead of each trying to host every track on its own.
06 Less work
Race night runs itself.
The jobs that used to take an evening run by themselves, so the few people who keep a community going get to race too.
- Sign-ups, and splits by skill when the grid is too big
- Each split's server set up for you: track, sessions, name and entry list
- A race with too few sign-ups called off, your Discord told why
- Results, points and standings without typing anything
- Stewarding by your own stewards. Drivers can accept a penalty within 48 hours for 25% less Safety Rating, or appeal a ruling to ours.

07 Ways to use it
Start where you are.
The community side is the same for everyone. What differs is whether you race on servers of your own, and who runs them.
-
Just the community Self-serve
No servers. Your page, Discord and members' stats from the open lobbies and everyone else's events.
-
Your servers Self-serve
Connect your machines with one agent; BDR sets up each race's server and collects the results.
-
Just results Set up with us
Keep your servers exactly as they are; their results come to BDR.
-
Our servers On request
Your season and an open lobby on BDR's machines, under your name.
Keep your servers, keep your results page
Your servers report to BDR, through the agent or as they are, and BDR passes every result on.
Where you race
BDR checks the results, then works out standings, ratings, members' stats and stewarding
Where it shows up
08 Good to know
Honest notes before you start.
Four things worth knowing before you set anything up.
-
1
ACC only, for now. Assetto Corsa Competizione is the sim we run today. Others are on the list, but some, like Le Mans Ultimate, have no server we can host ourselves.
-
2
New communities start unranked. Your races count for standings and stats from day one, and change ratings once we have looked at your community, which you request with one click. How ranked status works
-
3
Our servers and results-only are set up with you. Both need a short conversation first, so we can size it and get it right.
-
4
It's young. Some things will break. Tell us, and we fix it quickly; the communities that start now shape what comes next.
Keep your community. Expand its options.
Set up your community page in a few minutes, or talk to us first about what your community needs.
